The bank has seen tremendous growth over the years, especially the past ten years.
Deposits have been increasing, averaging 35% per annum. These products have been designed to meet the needs of different kinds of people in the catchment areas of the bank.
Our loan products are also of different types that cater for salary earners, farmers, traders, businessmen, artisans small and medium sized enterprises. Most often the beneficiaries are involved in the development of the loan products, which has been of enormous benefit to the bank as well as the customers.
Investment in Government Papers has been a major source of income for the bank until recently when the Bank of Ghana Prime Rate reduced significantly, which necessitated the prudent management of funds. The result was a decrease in investments by the close of year 2007 and a significant increase in the loan portfolio.
In every business endeavour, the bottom line is profit, and Sekyere Rural Bank Limited has not been found wanting. There has been a steady increase in profit over the years to the benefit of the bank and its shareholders.
The highest profit made by the bank was that of 2007, which was quite remarkable.
By the close of the year 2007 the bank made a profit before tax of GH¢612,176.00
